Toddlers, Children, and Young People

Our church includes people of all ages and everyone is welcome to any activities. We do, though, have some groups particularly for our young people to socialise together and grow in faith. There is a toddlers group and a ‘bouncing babies’ group for the very youngest members of our church family (and their parents/guardians), a full program of children’s and youth work on a Sunday morning. There is also a Brownie group and a Rainbow Group that meet in the church building.

Morning Worship              10:45am every Sunday

Sunday Friends is for children up to the age of 11. This is our Sunday school where children enjoy a variety of crafts and storytelling centred around the Bible. This is a great way to get children engaged in worship from an early age.

Believers is for children aged 11 and over. This is Sunday school for older children with age appropriate activities and discussions that are centred on their faith and how it relates to the world around them.

Toddlers group:                 9:30am every Monday (term time only)

Toddler group is run by church volunteers. This popular group is held in the Main Hall where drinks and snacks are available for the children and tea and coffee for the parents/carers. Due to the popularity, there is a waiting list. If you would like your child to go on the waiting list, drop by one Monday morning and speak to one of the volunteers. They will be able to answer any of your questions and give you an idea of how long the wait is. This group runs during term time only.

Messy Church:                  3.30pm third Thursday in the month.

Messy Church meets on the third Thursday of the month (term time only) and is led by our Family Worker, Linda. This is a fun filled church service for school aged children. On your way home from the school run, come on in and enjoy a variety of crafts and storytelling centred around the bible. This is a great way to get children engaged in worship from an early age. We also provide tea so the children can enjoy their evening meal together. We ask for a pay-what-you-can donation.  This is a drop-in event so no need to book in advance

Youth Group:                   7pm  on the second and fourth Sunday

Youth Group meets on the second and fourth Sunday of the month. This is for young people at secondary school. Sessions are filled with a variety of activities including games, discussions, visiting speakers, charity work, learning new skills (baking, gardening etc.) and trips out.

Moor Than…a breakfast and Bouncing Babies:             9am every Friday

Moor than…a breakfast starts at 9am and the aim is to provide a place for parents and carers to meet with each other over a healthy breakfast. Toddlers are more than welcome.

Bouncing Babies is a baby group. It kicks off at 10:30 and we have a great group of mums, grandparents and carers (as well as toddler siblings). There are toys to play with, books to read, drinks and biscuits for the children and hot drinks for the grown-ups. It is great way to meet new people and have a chat. This is a drop-in session so there is no waiting list.
We take the safety and well-being of our children very seriously and all activities are run by trained leaders who have been cleared for work with young people in accordance with our Good Practice Policy. For more details about this policy or simply to enquire about any of these groups, please contact us.
